The company hosting my web sites offers an 'affiliates' programme, where I receive a small cash benefit if someone signs up due to a referral from my site.
I have no problem with recommending this host
Things I like about them:
- 3 terabytes of data transfers per month
- 300 megabytes of file storage
- SSH access to the unix shell (they want to see your driver's license to before enabling this)
- Multiple domains and subdomains (supposedly unlimited)
- 100 MySQL databases
- A pretty good web-based management interface
- The online support thing is quite good
- They're well-priced
- The available bandwidth seems pretty good, and certainly better than other cheap hosts.
What I don't like about them:
- CPU usage throttle. They kill your service for 3 minutes if you exceed 20% CPU over 30 seconds (or something like that). I wasn't aware of this until after I signed up - try and find it on their site.
Anyway, if you want to sign up, and don't mind giving me $US65 for doing so:
